Our Mission
For over 9 years, Bethesda has been a shelter for over 300 people, giving all the care, love and dignity they deserve. Our mission started as a care giving center for the elderly people but it has now grown into a sanctuary where we also embrace children & adults with mental challenges. We offer them love, care, acceptance & holistic support. At Bethesda, we believe that every person – whether they are old or facing any health issues or disabilities – deserves to live with respect, belonging & hope. Our home is more than just a shelter to our residents. It is like a mini hospital & rehabilitation center, providing round-the-clock medical care, therapies, counselling & emotional support.

2016
Foundation Established
Bethesda Old Age Home was founded with a vision to be “A Home of Hope and Compassion.”
2018
Expanded our care, welcoming more elderly residents in need
We grew our community to over 40 family members, reaching more people than ever with our mission of hope and support.
2020
COVID-19 Response
Despite the pandemic, we continued serving daily meals and medical care, even while struggling with rent and financial challenges.
2022
Mission Extension
Extended our mission to care not only for the elderly, but also for children & adults with mental disabilities.

SM Prabha
Founder
With over 25 years of experience as a staff nurse, SM Prabha founded Bethesda in 2016 out of her deep desire to serve the elderly and provide care for the mentally challenged, creating a true home of hope and compassion
Rakhi R Krishna
Program Director
Rakhi oversees all program implementations, ensuring our initiatives create sustainable impact in the communities we serve.
Alex Paul
Finance Director
Alex manages our financial operations with transparency and efficiency, ensuring donor funds are used effectively.
